Making Waves

Teaching Resources

Description

This project introduces students to boating technology, particularly the design of the hull. Stability, speed, trim, and planing are explored by designing, making and testing. The project is easy to make and fun to test. Student notes are rigorous and the classroom video makes sure the class is heading in the right direction. There is an amazing range of design possibilities making this an excellent STEM project. The teaching resource pack covers the key concepts in theory and making in detail.
